Known as Paulistanos, the people of Sao Paulo are racially diverse. You will find a huge Japanese population here along with Chinese, Korean-Brazilians, Christians, Arabs, Jews and Italians. However, regardless of their ethnicity, Paulistanos are known for being extremely hard-working and ambitious. They work hard and party hard (at night when you will find many Paulistanos out on the town after a long day’s work). It is largely due to Paulistanos’ hard work that the city contributes fifteen percent of Brazil’s gross national product.
