We have partnered with Crescentrating.com of Singapore to provide information on authentic, certified halal friendly hotels around the world. We will be adding hotels to our list as and when they receive certification of a halal friendly hotel rating from Crescentrating.

Crescentrating is a proprietary rating system to rate travel and tourism facilities and services for their Halal friendliness. Crescentrating allows consumers to make an educated choice when looking for Halal friendly services and facilities.

Crescentrating.com currently provides ratings for hotels.

Hotels are rated from Crescentrating 1 to Crescentrating 7 based on the facilities and the services provided by the hotel in the following areas:

• Salat (prayer) facilities
• Halal food services
• Guest bathroom facilities
• Ramadan facilities
• Non-Halal activities
• Recreation facilities and services
  
  

Crescentrating takes into account all the facilities mentioned above provided by the hotel for Muslim travelers in rating a hotel from 1 to 7. 7 being the highest rating.

Crescentrating of 1 to 3

• These hotels are considered "helpful" to the Muslim traveler. They will be able to provide information regarding Salat (prayer) times, Qiblah direction and nearby Halal food facilities.

Crescentrating of 4 to 5

Hotels which are rated 4 to 5 go beyond being "helpful" and accommodate  certain specific requirements of the Halal conscious traveler. They will generally have Qiblah direction marked in the rooms and some level of Halal food facilities in the Hotel, among other Halal Friendly services.

• Hotels with a rating of 6 to 7 generally take into account most of the  needs of a Muslim traveler in their services and facilities. In general they will be serving only Halal food and beverages apart from having other family friendly facilities.
