Renting a car in Bali isn’t a good option since the roads do not have proper signs and you could get lost very easily. But that being said, if you do want to rent a car it is a good idea to shop around to get the best available rate. You can contact the rental agencies by thumbing through the list in the Bali Advertiser, available free of cost at any mini-mart or grocery store.
You need an international driver’s license to drive in Bali, so arrange for one from your country of origin.

You can also hire a small bike (about 100-200cc) but that can also be tricky to maneuver in the city. On the flip side since some of the streets are very small and not accessible by a car so you can go exploring Bali on your whim.
