Abu Dhabi Airport Company (ADAC) released data showing passenger traffic through Abu Dhabi National Airport increased 12% in April 2009 compared to the same period last year. Aircraft traffic increased 5%. London was the busiest route for the airport, followed by Bangkok, Doha, Bahrain, then Jeddah.
The increase in traffic at Abu Dhabi Airport is due mainly to exhibitions and conferences in April, such as the City Scape Abu Dhabi. New flight services Khartoum, and Melbourne Australia, and the launch of the new Sudanese Airline, Sun Air, all contributed to the increase in April passenger traffic.
