According to a study published in the Air Transport World Magazine, air passengers travelling from the UAE will soon be able to board flights using only their mobile phones.
Abu Dhabi and Sharjah international airports are one of 1,400 airports worldwide that will apply for the Bar Code Boarding Pass (BCBP) system. Passengers will receive their boarding passes via SMS on their mobile phones, and can then walk through the scanner which will read their “m-boarding” pass.
