Dubai based Emirates Airline said they will announce new routes to Amsterdam, Netherlands in the next few months, which is supported by ongoing aircraft deliveries. This is the airline’s 23rd destination and its fourth new route this year. The carrier launched Durban and Luanda in October, and recently announced Tokyo with a start date of March 28.
The new daily, non-stop service from Dubai to Amsterdam will operate on a combination of 777-300ER and 777-200LR aircraft, with a three class configuration and boasting the newest configuration of the in-flight entertainment system – ‘ice’. Emirates will be the only carrier offering first class accommodation on this route. Chairman and CEO of Emirates Airline and Group, Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, said “Amsterdam is already an important offline market for Emirates and we know there is a significant passenger traffic heading from Amsterdam to Dubai and on to Africa, the Indian sub-continent, Asia and the Far East.”
