Budget carrier flydubai will expand its route further next month when it launches a twice daily flight to Bahrain. The new route will start on December 13 with a one way ticket starting at AED250. CEO of flydubai, Ghaith al Ghaith said the timing couldn’t be better for starting the new route because Bahrain is emerging as a profitable business and travel destination. Al Ghaith said flydubai will add another two destinations to its current network of ten destinations by the end of the year.
Flydubai started operations on June 1st, 2009 with flights to Beirut, followed by flights to Amman, Alexandria, Aleppo, Damascus, Dijibouti, Doha, and Kartoum. Mr. Ghaith said “It has not been without a few hitches along the way, but this has been a very exciting and relatively smooth journey. The carrier said on Wednesday it offer holiday packages, insurance, and other ancillary travel services to strengthen its revenues.
