Sri Lankan Airlines announced it is adding a fourth weekly flight to its Columbo-Damman route beginning on Wednesday, which is the start of the new winter schedule. The new flight departs from Colombo at 1840 on Wednesday and lands in Dammam at 2130 on the same day. The return flight leaves Dammam at 2240 and arrives in Colombo at 610 on Thursday.
Sri Lankan Airlines Sales Manager, Prather Bal Krishnan said “Sri Lanka is an increasingly popular tourist destination, not only among Saudis but also among the large number of expatriate workers in Dammam who use SriLankan to travel home.” Mr. Balakriashnan expressed confidence that there will be a large number of visitors from Dammam this season, because Sri Lanka’s war has ended and the country has great tourist potential. He said their flights are well connected to many Indian and Asian destinations, so will facilitate onward leisure and business travel from Colombo.
