Emirates Airlines inaugural flight to Durban, South Africa landed recently at the Durban International Airport. Minister of Economy Sultan Bin Saleed led a high level delegation on the airlines maiden flight to the South African port city. Al Mansouri said “This is an important development for Dubai, Emirates Airline, and for the UAE as a whole.” He said South Africa is an important trading partner and an additional gateway into the country will further strengthen their trading relationship.
South Africa’s Transport Minister Sibusiso Ndebele said the Kwa Zulu Natal people can now reach more than 100 global destinations. UAE and South Africa trade is valued at about Dh7 billion per year.
