Budget carrier Nasair will begin flight service from Jeddah to Sanaa’s Yemen from 2 September 2009, out of King AbdulAziz International Airport. National Air Services (NAS) CEO said “Sana’s is one of the main potential destinations that was included within Nasair’s strategic network plan for 2009.” NAS is the parent company of Nasair.
Three flights per week will operate on the Jeddah-Sana’s-Jeddah route and a fourth flight will begin on 19 September. Nasair is Saudi Arabia’s first budget carrier and they have the newest fleet of aircraft in the area with 13. They operate 350 flights per week to 24 destinations. Thirteen of these are local to most of Saudi Arabia, 11 are regional to Beirut, Sharjah, Latakia, Sana’s, Assiut, Sharm El Sheikh, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Amman.
