The international luxury executive flight services company Royal Jet seems to be pulling out of the economic downturn, with a 15% increase in holiday bookings compared to the same period last year. President and CEO of the Abu Dhabi based company said travelers tend now to book their flights much later than they used to – between two and four days prior to departure. Shane O’Hare said “We are finding that within the GCC there is a strong demand – with a steady stream of bookings from Qatar and, especially, Saudi Arabia”.
Mr. O’Hare explained their new pricing policy has helped to increase bookings. Previously fare price was based on the aircrafts point of origin, but now it is calculated based on where the passenger commences their flight. This has sharply reduced the price of charter flights, by as much as 20%.
