Kuwaiti based Jazeera Airways announced that it has stopped direct flights from Bahrain to Iran due to factors beyond its control. The airline said the Iranian government issued new regulations forcing it to cancel its direct services. Instead, the carrier will offer an indirect flight which first stops in Kuwait before landing in Masshaad, Iran.
Jazeera Airways did not provide further details but said in a press statement it will offer full refunds to passengers who had booked service on the direct route to Iran. CEO of Jazeera Airways said “It is with regret we announce the cancellation of our recently launched Bahrain-Iran direct route.” Stefan Pichler said the airline will fully compensate for any disruption to their travel plans and noted Bahrain guests may continue to benefit from non-stop routes to Kuwait, Dubai, and Sana’s at low cost fares.
