The Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) is pulling out all stops in preparing to make Summer in Abu Dhabi 2009 one of the biggest events on the GCC calendar this summer. ADTA has made a multi-million-Dirham investment in the summer event for UAE residents and Gulf Cooperation Council visitors. Abu Dhabi’s goal is to become an international tourist destination and aims to draw between two and three million visitors by 2012.
The eight halls of the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (Adnec) will accommodate the participants in this years Summer in Abu Dhabi event, which has grown 115%. Adnec This year there are 200 activities compared to 90 activities in 2008. New events include a circus featuring clowns, elephants, tigers, and Brazilian dancers and a 60 minute magic show on ice.
