Germany’s Bavaria Airspace cluster signed an agreement with the Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) to create a world class aerospace center in Al Ain. Under the agreement, ADAC, Mubadala, and government agencies will invest as much as $1 billion over the next three to five years to build the aerospace center.
ADAC board member Fahd Al Shamsi told a news conference that “Abu Dhabi is part of a region that is undergoing some of the largest infrastructure projects ever conceived at one time” He said this will position to be an aviation hub for the coming century, and “the synergies I’m sure, are clear to everyone.” He said Bavaria is one of the world’s leading regions in the aerospace industry and they will provide the technical expertise needed for the creation of the aerospace center in Al Ain.
