The 3 percent increase in freight volumes from December to January is particularly encouraging,” Giovanni Bisignani, IATA’s Director General and CEO told journalists.
Airlines from the Asia-Pacific experienced a 6.5 per cent increase in demand while Latin American airlines reported an 11 per cent increase in January. Meanwhile, North American and European airlines saw a 2.1 per cent and 3.1 per cent increase respectively.
