The Afghan international airline, Safi Airways, will start its Kabul-Doha service from March 13, it was learnt. The route has been fixed with the support of Qatar Airways and will fly thrice a week from Kabul to Doha.
Thomas J. Bommer, Director Sales & Marketing, Safi Airways states there are about 7,000 Afghan citizens currently living in Qatar that will benefit from the service. “We know that there is great need for improvement to seamless travel to Afghanistan. The new route and the cooperation with Qatar Airways will enable such convenient travel,” he added. Bommer hoped that this new route would make Afghanistan more accessible to the Middle East and would help in the reconstruction of the country.
Meanwhile, Safi Airways will also launch routes to India and China. The New Delhi service, said Bommer would also be launched on March 13 but did not give a timeline for the Beijing service.
