May 20 – flydubai launched its 15th destination last night when its first flight to the Egyptian city of Luxor departed from Dubai International Airport in Terminal 2. Luxor is flydubai’s second destination in Egypt, after Alexandria, and next Monday the carrier will begin flight service to its third Egyptian destination in Assuit, the biggest town in Upper Egypt. Luxur is synonymous with ancient Egyptian history and is home to many famous archeological sites like the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Karnak.
Chief Commercial Officer of flydubai, Hamad Obaidalla, said “Our flights to Alexandria have proved to be extremely popular and it is on the back of this success that we have launched our second Egyptian destination.” Flydubai offers three weekly flights to Luxur starting at AED 350. FZ183 takes off from Dubai International Airport at Terminal 2 at 2255 hours and arrives in Luxur at 0135 local time the next day. Return flight FZ184 takes off from Luxor at 0220 hours and lands in Dubai at 0645 hours local time.
