March 29 – German Airline Lufthansa announced on Friday that it will start its Baghdad-Munich flights from September 30, the first in 20 years. Lufthansa said that the flights will be operated four times a week by Swiss affiliate PrivatAir using Boeing 737 aircraft between Arbil in northern Iraq and Frankfurt.
The group’s Austrian Air subsidiary also serves Arbil from Vienna.
