June 17 – Dubai-based low-cost carrier Flydubai has added the ninth Boeing 737-800NG to its fleet. The aircraft landed at the Dubai International Airport’s terminal 2 last night and will be used on the Dubai-Istanbul route.
Flydubai’s CEO, Ghaith Al Ghaith said: “The arrival of a ninth aircraft is testament to the planning and hard work of the team and shows Flydubai’s dedication to providing the highest standards of safety, reliability and quality by investing in the expansion of our fleet of next generation aircraft.”
Flydubai began operations on June 1, 2009, and has been operating almost 8,000 flights with 85 percent departing on time.
