RAK Airways Chairman, Sheikh Omar bin Saqr al Qasimi, has said the airline will re-launch its operations during the September-October period and aims to break-even on the first year. The carrier will start with two planes flying to South India and Saudi Arabian destinations, he said.
“We are aiming (to break-even) as soon as possible. We are aiming from the first year,” he said. The Ras Al Kaimah population are largely nationals of Southern India and the airline hopes to cater to their needs to travel to their hometown, in cities such as Calicut as well the need for people travelling to Saudi for Hajj.
