Qatar Airways has just confirmed that it has been approved by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to permit passengers to carry personal electronic items on board U.S.-bound flights, departing from its hub Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar.
Earlier Saudi Airlines announced that they are working with the US Department of Homeland Security to implement new procedures across airports in Saudi Arabia and expect that all Saudi Airlines flights departing after July 19 will allow passengers to take their laptops and other large electronic devices on board the aircraft.
Etihad Airlines was the first to announce the lifting of the ban and this was followed a day later by similar announcements from Emirates and Turkish Airlines.
