You may have heard of the history making event that recently unfolded in Abu Dhabi when Solar Impulse 2 landed after circumnavigating the globe in 18 months – without using any fossil fuel. Well, Dubai has another story to tell. In just six months of this year, Emirates Airline aircraft have flown over 400 million kilometers – that translates to going around the world more than 10,000 times.
In a typical week Emirates operates 3,600 flights and its fleet of 252 aircraft is always expanding so it will be no wonder if the airline will soon announce that their planes cover the distance of going around the world 100 times a day.
