Tunisia plans to double the number of its golf courses by 2020 in order to fill a promising niche for affluent visitors who are likely to spend more. The strategy will change the landscape and environment coastline of rangeland coasts similar to the Sousse and Hammamet, the golf courses of Djerba, and the “Golf Club Tozeur”, which was created in 2007.
Golf courses are planned for some areas of the northern shore of the Tunis lake, Raoued (Tunis), Hergia (Sousse), and Zarzis and Djerba. Tunisia has 10 golf courses drawing 65,000 tourists every year. The French golf tour operators magazine, “Greens du Monde” ranked Tunisia as the world’s 4th golf destination
