Prince Sultan bin Salman, chairman of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities announced contracts to establish five new museums have been approved during the commissions meeting on Tuesday. The museums will be located in Hail, Baha, Damman, Asir, and Tabuk.
Prince Sultan said the SCTA also decided to introduce a new hotel classification system consistent with international standards, on December 18th. He said “This new classification system will be introduced in order to help tourists receive suitable accommodation. It will also help tackle the issue of price hikes within the hospitality sector.” The objective of the classification system is to protect consumers, improve services, and encourage investments, and increase job opportunities or Saudis.
