Accor Hospitality Middle East again increased its growing Middle East portfolio with the opening of Ibis Amman in Jordan, and Ibis Muscat in Oman. Ibis Amman is the first internationally branded hotel in Jordan, and Ibis Muscat is the first Accor hotel in Amman.
The new hotels are part of Accors regional plans to operate 45 hotels by 2011, and its longstanding strategic partnership with Kuwait based Action Hotels Company, which is committed to increasing the Ibis network in the Middle East. Managing Director for Accor Hospitality Middle East said the new ibis hotels strengthen their strategic alliance with Action Hotels and the process of “building the ibis network in major business and leisure hubs across the region.” Christopher Landais said the Ibis Amman and Ibis Muscat bring their portfolio to a total of seven operational ibis hotels in the Middle East.
