The Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI), and Jeddah municipality signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to make Jeddah a world class city able to host major international events. Jeddah Mayor Adel Fakieh said “The MoU aims at strengthening the relations between JCCI and the municipality to improve services required for the city’s development plans and investment projects.” The mayor said the MoU is the first practical step for putting in place a strategic plan to develop Jeddah.
The MoU outlines facilities that need to be improved including new roads and utility services to meet the needs of the growing population, and stresses that the private sector will play an important role in the economic, social, and construction projects for Makkah province and Jeddah.
