The Java World Travel Fair had strong participation by the UAE, including the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA), Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways, and Dubai’s Emirates Airlines. The World Tourism Congress organized the JATA fair and it took place in Tokyo between September 17th and September 20th. More than 100,000 people visited the UAE booths, which highlighted the country as a world class leisure, business and tourism destination.
The DTCM theme was “Now is the time to travel to Dubai.” DTCM also organized meetings and debates as part of its promotional campaign. Saeed Ali Al Nuwais, UAE ambassador to Japan said new routes from Abu Dhabi to Dubai and Narita will begin next year and have a positive effect on cultural, social, and economic relations between the two countries.
