The Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) will promote tourism in Abu Dhabi in the Leisure Moscow Exhibition, which runs from 22 September through 24 September. The exhibition is an opportunity for the ADTA to increase its profile in the Russian market. A dedicated pavilion will showcase hotels and new properties on Yas Island, which is hosting the Etihad Airways Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. ADTA International Promotions Manager Mubarak Al Nuaimi said “Last year, more than 11 million Russians travelled overseas, with a majority of these at the luxury end of the market place.”
Al Nuami said it is important to maximize the opportunities created by the start of regular Etihad flights to Moscow and Minsk, and the launch of flight form Kiev to Abu Dhabi by the Ukranian National Airlines. He noted that business tourism accounts for about one third of the outbound Russian market, and this is a strength for Abu Dhabi.
