The “Talking Art Louvre Abu Dhabi” exhibition will continue at the Emirates Palace until 29 August 2009. The exhibition was opened last May to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Louvre Abu Dhabi on Sadiyat Island. The museum will open in 2013 and a sample of artworks are on display at the Emirates Palace. The Tourism Development and Investment Company is the organizer of the exhibition. They said it is being extended because of popular demand.
TDIC director for culture said “We are heartened by the extraordinary turnout of visitors, particularly to the educational events, such as the roundtable discussions, the briefings to teachers, and the children’s workshops.” There are two daily sessions of the guided tour “Talking Art: Louvre Abu Dhabi” at 11 am and 6 pm. Every Monday between 10 am and 12 noon art workshops are offered for children between ages 11 and 18.
