Bahrain authorities said they are closely watching the countries entry and exit points in order to prevent a case of swine flu from entering. A Health Ministry Spokesman said they “stepped up their vigil at all of the islands entry and exit points.” Officials at King Fahd Causeway Bridge are taking all precautionary measures.
Many Saudi families cancelled or postponed their weekend trips to Bahrain following news reports of Swine flu in Bahrain. The first known case of swine flu in Bahrain was widely reported on Monday. The government has implemented various precautionary measures including an isolation room to quarantine any H1N1 virus cases at King Causeway and distribution of multilingual swine flu brochures at the causeway and Bahrain International Airport.
