A top official at The Federal
Naturalisation and Residency Department (FNRD) in the Ministry of Interior has
said that the ministry is studying the visa issuance procedure in all the
emirates in a bid to unify the procedure across UAE. The
ministry is studying the possibility of issuing visas to visit any emirate from
any of the NRDs even if the expatriate sponsoring the visitor is a resident of
another emirate. The official has said that no deadline has been set for the
unification to come info force, the announcement would be made after the
committee concerned finishes the study.
