A senior official at the Ministry of Interior clarified that visas issued for visit, transit, and tourism are valid only for a single entry into the UAE. Visitors can’t make a trip to a neighboring country and then return using the same permit. Director General of the Dubai General Department for Residency and Foreign Affairs explained “A visitor needs to get a new entry permit to re-enter the country once he or she leaves the country for any destination. The new entry permit will be issued only after one month from the date the visitor leaves the UAE.”
Major General Mohammad Ahmad Al Merri was discussing the difficulties visitors encounter when they attempt to return to the UAE after a short sight seeing trip to Orman or a business meeting in Bahrain. He clarified that visitors can’t re-enter the UAE immediately because a new visa will be issued only after a gap of one month.
