Tourists in the UAE are enjoying activities at the heritage sites complex in Al Shindagha, a sprawling complex along the beautiful Creek promenade. The activities were organized by Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) for the 15th annual edition of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF). The 32 day annual entertainment and shopping extravaganza ends on February 28th. The heritage sites in Al Shindagha have been a popular way for visitors to spend their time with friends and families during the DSF, especially the Heritage and Diving Villages. Programs and activities taking place here each day between 5 pm and 10 pm include Heritage Music Bands, The Pearl Traditional Exhibition, a horse show, traditional plays, and traditional Emirati souq.
Shaikh Saeed’s House, which dates back to 1896 and was once the seat of local government, is one of the venues where programs are taking place at DSF-2010. This imposing building used to be the center for political and social organizations of the day.
