The Ministry of Hajj, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), signed a SR200 million agreement with Angari Contracting & Trading Company to set up headquarters in Makkah. Spanning an area over 21,000 square metres, the building will have three towers and will be located at the entrance of Makkah on the Jeddah-Makkah Expressway. The project’s first phase will be ready in 24 months.”This is the second most important project being implemented by the ministry this year. Earlier this year, we signed a SR320 million contract to carry out the third phase of the rapid transport system,” said Fouad Al-Farsy, the Hajj Minister.
Speaking on the occasion, Sahl bin Abdullah Al-Sabban, Deputy Minister for Transport and Projects, said the new headquarters will improve the services provided by the ministry to the pilgrims. “Once completed, the new headquarters will become a major cultural monument in Makkah,” he added.
