A promotional event to lure tourists from Italy was held on Saturday in Sousse. The event was organized by the travel group “Sprintours,” in association with the Tunisian National Tourism Board (ONTT) and the national airline, Tunisair.
ONTT representative in Italy Mustapha Nasri, who was present at the event, said that the number of Italian tourists to Tunisia are expected to increase this year, following a 13 per cent decrease in 2009 owing to the global financial crisis. He further said that the Enfidha Zine El Abidine Ben Ali International Airport in Tunisia can contribute towards increasing the flow of traffic to the region.
Around 300 travel agents took part in the event this year along with several Tunisian and Italian journalists.
