April 30 – Dubai Shopping Festival’s Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) will begin from June 17 with some of the best deals in 13 years on offer, said the Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment (DEPE) yesterday. In this regard, a detailed plan has been drawn up pertaining to activities related to shopping and entertainment for the 52-day-long festival.
“DSS marks its 13th edition this year and comes after more than a decade of welcoming and entertaining millions of visitors from across the world. The event has come a long way towards positioning Dubai as a leading summer destination, and every year the vital economic sectors in Dubai reap the fruits of DSS in the form of enhanced businesses,” said Laila Suhail. Chief Executive, DEPE.
DSS was launched in 1998 with a wide variety of indoor and outdoor summer activities along with some great shopping deals. The indoor activities attracted 500,000 visitors last year. The festival will go on till August 7 this year.
