May 9 – The Middle East’s premier travel and tourism event, the Arabian Travel Market, finished its 17th year yesterday, opening its doors to the public as it does every year on the last day. Consumer’s Day gives the public a chance to take part in fun competitions, take advantage of a variety of special offers, and experience hundreds of destinations. Turkish Airways, the world’s fastest growing airline, used Consumer’s Day to promote its three-and-a-half year sponsorship with Manchester United, making it the Club’s official sponsor. The airline also promoted it’s three year partnership with FC Barcelona as the “Official Sponsor” of the legendary football club.
Competitions are one of the many ways Arabian Travel Market adds value content for exhibitors and visitors. Mark Walsh said “Arabian Travel Market has long prided itself in offering its exhibitors varied opportunities to showcase their products. Consumers Day allows our 2,100 exhibitors to present their products and destinations directly to a captive audience.” Walsh is Group Exhibition Director, Reed Travel Exhibitions. The 17th Arabian Travel Market featured exhibitors from six continents and over 72 countries.
