May 11- Omani and French experts will come together in Oman from May 15-17 to discuss sustainable development issues and green architecture along with eco-tourism in a workshop titled ‘Green architecture and eco-tourism’. The workshop will be held under the patronage of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture and the French Embassy along with the collaboration of the Oman Society of Engineers. Speaking at the press conference announcing the workshop on Sunday, the French Ambassador to the Sultanate Malika Berak said: “The Sultanate of Oman has shown a strong interest in sustainable development issues during the last decades, which made the country a regional model in environment protection. As well, France is deeply engaged in this field and has learnt how to set up strategies promoting a sustainable economic development with special focus on green architecture and eco-tourism.”
The event will be held at the Crowne Plaza and will be sponsored by Omran, BRM, Pavillion de I’Arsenal, Muriya and Air France.
