May 13- Domestic tourism has an important role to play as far as the creation of jobs are concerned in Saudi Arabia, said Prince Sultan Bin Salman, President of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) on Tuesday. Prince Salman was addressing the participants of the First Forum of Human Development held under the auspices of Prince Sultan College for Tourism and Management at Abha Palace Hotel in the Asir Province.
Prince Sultan said that domestic tourism can be an important experience for the citizens of the kingdom, if it is done right. Tourism revenues, he said, can create several jobs also.
A recent report by SCTA revealed that 590,000 tourism-related jobs will be created by 2014 in accommodation, coffee shop/ restaurants, attractions, travel agencies and the transport sector.
