June 22 – The sixth annual print edition of one of Oman’s tourism publication, Destination Oman, was released on Monday by Dr Rajiha bint Abdul Amir bin Ali, Minister of Tourism, aptly timed with the Khareef season in Oman.
The book that contains lots of pictures is wildly popular and is considered to be a reliable source of information on Oman tourism.
The works of renowned international photographers such as Jaap Croese and Paulo Bizarro can be found in the new edition, giving their point of view of Oman.
In a foreword to the publication, the minister says: “The Sultanate of Oman is now labelled as one of the most interesting countries anyone would like to visit and explore, for its culture, customs, traditions and natural beauty. Tourism, though a relatively recent development here has made great strides in a short period and is poised to contribute to the national economy in a big way in the coming days.”
