A delegation of travel trade representatives from leading travel agencies, tour operators and National Travel & Tourism Associations in the UAE arrived in the Kingdom on the 25th April 2011 as guests of Riyadh’s most prestigious five star hotel, the Al Faisaliah Hotel, A Rosewood Hotel. The visit also included a meeting with senior representatives from the Saudi Commission for Tourism & Antiquities (SCTA) to discuss developments in the country’s tourism industry and learn about growing opportunities for inbound travel.
As part of the travel programme, the delegation enjoyed an extensive tour of the capital city, its major landmarks and places of interest for visitors to Riyadh, organised by the official City Tour of Riyadh.
This is the first travel industry group from the UAE to visit the newly opened Al Faisaliah Hotel – South, the ultra-luxury contemporary extension to the award-winning Al Faisaliah Hotel, A Rosewood Hotel owned by the Al Khozama Management Company (AKMC).
Peter Finamore, Managing Director, Al Faisaliah Hotel said: “With the considerable investments being made by both public and private sector organisations in Saudi Arabian tourism, it is important to highlight these developments to the regional travel trade.
“The UAE is a key inbound market for us, particularly in terms of business and religious travel, and we welcome the opportunity to showcase the unrivalled facilities and personalised service for which Al Faisaliah Hotel is internationally recognised.”
