Oman’s Ministry of Tourism has confirmed its participation at the 3rd Al Rais Holidays Travel Show at the Dubai Mall’s Fashion Atrium from tomorrow (April 19, 2012) until April 21, 2012. To be held under the theme ‘Explore and Experience,’ the show presents the world’s leading destinations to travelers, holiday planners, families, groups and individuals under one roof. The show is expected to attract attention from many tourism segments including adventure, health, education, business and special interest travel.
Ali Al Khaburi, Director General of Tourism Promotion, Oman Ministry of Tourism said: “We are delighted with the exhibition’s theme of ‘Explore and Experience’ as The National Geographic and Lonely Planet have recently recommended Muscat and Oman as must-see destinations in 2012. Additionally, the Arab League’s Tourism Ministers have awarded Muscat as Arab Tourism Capital in 2012, so there are many reasons to include Oman in your 2012 travel plans.”
Oman is celebrating Muscat’s nomination as the 2012 Arab Tourism Capital with a year-round calendar of events. Additionally, the government has cut the cost of tourism visas and Oman Air is offering value-packed stopovers for passengers on its international network. The 2012 Al Rais Holidays Travel Show takes place as Oman’s resorts and hotels have launched heavily discounted summer rates.
“Summer will see many UAE families and expatriates explore and experience our beautiful cool climate destinations like Jebel Shams, Al Jabal Al Akhdar, Sharqiyyah’s beaches, Masirah Island and Salalah. The month-long Salalah Tourism Festival begins on 21 June as the cool weather arrives. We expect many families will take advantage of the cool weather during the season and spend Eid in Salalah as well” concluded Al Khaburi.
Oman Air operates daily non-stop services between Dubai and Salalah. The 2012 Al Rais Holidays Travel Show is being organized by Dubai-based travel management firm Al Rais Holidays.
