Summer is here and everyone is trying to figure out where to go. It is also the time when magazines, websites and list compilers start announcing their favorite destinations. One such list is put together by Travel + Leisure magazine. Chiang Mai a city in northern Thailand has won the readers’ choice award for being the Best City in Asia and the World’s 2nd Best City.
If you decide to check out Chiang Mai let us know what you think of the city. But once you are there make sure you visit the Bor Sang Umbrella Village which is famous for its wide variety of colorful umbrellas. These umbrellas keep the hot sun away from you and are also a great souvenir that can become a talking point when people visit your home and see it in your living room. But then some people think it’s bad luck to open an umbrella indoors!
