
On March 14 2014, Emirates Airlines will be starting service to the intellectual capital of the world – Boston. Home to Harvard, MIT, Boston University and over 50 other educational institutions, Boston is also the hometown of the United States’ most illustrious political family – the Kennedys: John F. Kennedy was born in the Boston suburb of Brookline.
Emirates will be flying a Boeing 777-200ER aircraft to Boston equipped with their award winning ICE entertainment system. From 10th March 2014, EK237 will depart Dubai at 0945hrs and arrive in Boston at 1515hrs. The return flight, EK 238, will take off from Boston at 2255hrs and land in Dubai at 1910hrs the next day. As part of an agreement with JetBlue, Emirates and JetBlue passengers are able to travel on each other’s flights and earn reciprocal miles.
Boston is the largest city in Massachusetts and one of the oldest cities in America. It was in Boston harbour that the revolt against the British started when boxes of tea were thrown into the sea. A protest which culminated in the American Revolution which resulted in the declaration of independence of the United States in 1776.
In the field of transport, Boston is known for launching America’s first subway system back in 1897. The Boston University Bridge on Commonwealth Avenue is one of the only places in the world where a boat can sail under a train passing under a car driving under an aircraft.

Over the last 25 years Boston has become home to numerous Muslims. Halal restaurants and mosques can be found all over the city. The Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center is a 70,000 sqft mosque and school which is the most prominent Muslim facility in the city.
