Coya, Dubai’s favourite Latin American restaurant, invites you to celebrate Ramadan their way. The restaurant and lounge will offer guests complimentary dates and a bowl of the soup of the day upon arrival. Fresh, Ramadan-inspired juices with energy boosting ingredients like ginger, maca and mint and other exotic blends will also be available during this month.
The Peruvian hotspot also introduces two new additions to its menu. Starting in Ramadan until the first week of August, the outlet shall be home to a delectable, limited edition cake and smoothie featuring the Middle East’s staple fruit; dates.
Having been in cultivation for thousands of years, dates have long been a beloved fruit in the region especially during the hot summer months. They have also had a significant meaning during the holy month of Ramadan as it has been said that the prophet Mohammed broke his fast with this now popular fruit. In addition to aiding the body ‘s strength in the heat by being an excellent source of natural sodium, iron, sugar, magnesium and potassium, dates are also rich in multi-vitamins, carbohydrates and dietary fibers; ultimately protecting the stomach from parasites and aiding digestion especially after a heavy meal.
This season, Coya Dubai plays tribute to this important ingredient with a delectable date cake –served with almond milk sorbet and yoghurt cream, topped with a generous pistachio crumble and a hint of orange zest—the perfect ending to any meal. Also on offer this summer is a special Canelita (smoothie) to complement any meal. Complete with dates, almond milk, bananas and a dash of cinnamon, this creamy delight is the perfect indulgence to battle the summer heat and celebrate Eid Al Fitr with family and friends over an unparalleled dining experience.
