The grand opening of Al Barza Restaurant & Cafe took place this week, in which a vast number of dignitaries, businessmen, members of the press and simply just Emirati cuisine lovers were present. The opening ceremony included an Ayyalah performance, which is a traditional Emirati folk dance commonly performed by men at weddings and National Day celebrations, and even a traditional tent cooking setup displaying the Bedouin heritage.
This unique mix of contemporary cuisine has been welcomed by many affluent customers, particularly those looking for an authentic experience. The name “Al Barza” which means “a gathering place”, reflects the goal of the restaurant to be the number one destination for people wanting to try the Emirati traditional food but in a more contemporary setting.
Al Barza caters to the wishes of Emirati food lovers by offering them several varieties that range from the traditional to more adventurous, with main dishes that include Jasheed, Majboos, Thareed, to list a few. In addition, Al Barza offers a unique breakfast experience through the famous Emirati breakfast dishes such as the Balaleet (sweet vermicelli) and the beloved Emirati delights as well for deserts, all prepared by master-chef and bakers.
Al Barza Restaurant & Café also provides its visitors the opportunity to choose between the indoor seating, which includes 32 seats and the outdoor area, which can accommodate 73 seats on the spectacular garden. The restaurant is located on Beach Road, Jumeirah 1, next to the Emirates NBD branch.
