One of the biggest problems that Muslims have while travelling abroad is to find halal food. Many Muslims avoid beef and chicken because they are not sure if the animal has been slaughtered in the proper way. What do you do when you are abroad and cannot find a halal restaurant? Seafood is a healthy and halal alternative.
Salads and vegetables can become tiring for someone used to eating meat, so it is always fun to try different forms of seafood. Fish and chips are usually available in many places. Calamari is also a popular seafood – but it tends to get chewy if it is not cooked properly. Lobsters are another alternative. They tend to be expensive and the meat is difficult to excavate from the shell but the fun of eating lobsters compensates for the inconvenience. Many restaurants even provide bibs to customers as the process of cracking the shell results in many oops moments.
