On the first day of the World Halal Travel Summit and Exhibition 2015 (WHTS15) in Abu Dhabi, dozens of people visited the Irhal stand and complimented us on the Irhal app. Many were so fascinated by it that they downloaded it while they were being shown the app although they were informed that the content is being updated and the app remains in “Beta” status.
The Conference at WHTS15 attracted a large number of visitors and industry overviews by Rafi-uddin Shikoh and Reem al Shafaki of Dinar Standard highlighted the great potential of the “Halal” travel market. Although most speakers were hesitant to define a “Halal” standard, they agreed with Elnur Seyidli of Halalbooking.com that family friendly values were of paramount importance for Muslim travelers.
The three day event is supported by the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority and has 200 exhibitors from Iran, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Morocco, Jordan, Bosnia and 45 other destinations. If you have not been to the show, make sure that you visit WHTS15 before it ends at 6pm on October 21 2015.
