Located next to the Miracle Garden and open just throughout the summer, the Dubai Butterfly Garden is one of the biggest covered butterfly gardens in the world. The Garden consists of 9 domes, each dome filled with different sized and different coloured butterflies. With 24 types of butterflies openly flying around over visitors, flowers and nectar plants, this beautiful place is not one to miss this summer.
The domes are interlinked by narrow corridors and house more than 18,000 winged insects imported from The Philippines, Costa Rica, Colombia and Tanzania. Each dome is decorated with colourful flower displays and is cool enough to give the butterflies – and visitors – a pleasant place to roam.
Elsewhere, a dedicated museum showcases an eccentric collection of butterfly motifs, including an enormous picture of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum formed completely out of butterflies. There’s also an outdoor butterfly flower park and a small coffee shop.
Butterfly Garden is open from 9:00AM – 6:00PM Daily
