New York City — Big Apple travelers no longer have to choose between enjoying the Empire State Building’s stellar views during daylight hours or after dark, when the city’s lighted skyline is especially magical. With a New York CityPASS® ticket booklet, visitors can experience both — with just one ticket. The 2013 New York CityPASS program, which saves 40 percent off the cost of buying individual attraction tickets, includes day/night admission to the Empire State Building, allowing travelers to make a trip to the 86th-floor observatory during the day and then return for a second visit between the hours of 10 p.m. and closing.
“Seeing Manhattan from the Empire State Building by day gives you a lot of detail,” explained Megan Allen, City Pass President and CEO. “But the skyline at night is particularly beautiful. We always felt it was a shame that New York travelers had to pick one or the other.”
In addition to the day/night Empire State Building ticket, each 2013 New York CityPASS ticket booklet covers prepaid admission to the American Museum of Natural History, including the Rose Center for Earth and Space; The Metropolitan Museum of Art, whose ticket also allows same-day admission to The Cloisters museum and gardens; The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA); a choice between either Top of the Rock observation deck and the Guggenheim Museum; and a choice between either the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island* or a Circle Line Sightseeing Cruise.
New York CityPASS ticket booklets cost $106 for adults (value $176); $79 for youth, age 6-17. Ticket booklets can be purchased online at CityPASS.com or at any of the participating attractions. Ticket booklets are valid for nine consecutive days, beginning with the first day of use.
